Interior Design of the Year: Food & Beverage Venue in the Middle East Award at the Commercial Interior Design Awards 2016

This space is distinguished by an intricate bamboo facade that filters natural light through miniature spindle grille motifs, the same spindle grille that carries the design direction of Lexus cars. The project challenges were meeting the woodworking standards set by Wonderwall in Japan, as this was the 2nd venue globally that this concept was launched after Tokyo.

GE Middle East Aviation Innovation Center, Dubai.

Award won by AAID for 'Best Large Corporate Space' in the Middle East Interior Design Awards, 2016.

The project broke boundaries with its innovative design. The build challenge was to create a 100,000 sqf space incorporating a US$7million software laboratory and offices that would inspire innovation and collaboration. With the space being very open, each item within it commanding attention, it was imperative that the joinery finishes be outstanding. The highest attention to construction detail and quality finishing enabled us to achieve the crisp lines and bold contrasts that are evident in every element of this project.

Google Office Phase 2 & 5

We were honoured to work on Google Headquarters in Dubai Internet City. The offices were built over 3 years in 3 phases and the joinery package was won by us  each time. Google expected everything on their project to meet international standards- construction, installation, health and safety and labour standards. We not only passed the audits by a third party hired by Google to uphold these standards, we enjoyed contributing to one of the most playful office designs we have seen in the industry so far.

British Airways First Class Lounge Dubai

The British Airways First Class Lounge was an enormous challenge. Incorporating a high volume of kitchen equipment and a multitude of unique finishes into the joinery units required meticulous project planning. A key element in the success of this project was the strength of our Drawing and Projects teams in their ability to understand the Designers' vision and bring it to life in a functional and efficient manner. Despite the very short build time of 60 days and the limitations of working Airside, the First Class Lounge was completed on time and to First Class standard.

Noir Bar - Kempinski Hotel Mall of Emirates Dubai

Interior Fit Out Project of The Year 2016 Award for Kempinski: Mall of Emirates

The brief was to execute the design for a luxurious lounge bar that set a new precedent in design quality and service within the hospitality sector. And the refurbishment was to take place while the hotel was still in operation. This required our teams to ensure excellent co-ordination between our internal teams and with the build partners on the project in order to ensure that the highest standards of quality could be maintained with minimal disruption to the hotel's operations.

Rogo's Rollercoaster Restaurant - Abu Dhabi

The unique concept of food being served through a roller coaster at your table after being ordered by an ipad, dictated that the space would also be as unique. The space is one of the most  complicated interior fit outs that we have been a part of. Everything in this restaurant was built to larger than life scale- the double storey height wall panelling, the optical illusion entranceway and the enormous dining tables. The end result is a restaurant that is a feast for the eyes as well as the palette!

The Total Office

This project demanded a high quality of finish as it was a furniture showroom for the high end corporate market. Being a company which prides itself on innovation in the workplace it was imperative that when building the joinery for The Total Office, we used the most innovative joinery products and processes. Collaboration with the Designer, our Suppliers and the Client were key to the success of this project.
